I'm Luis — a software engineer with over 12 years of experience building systems that don't just work, but work reliably under real pressure. My background spans industries, but over the last several years I've focused where the stakes are highest: healthcare and wellness technology.
BajaWell is a custom software practice of Genko, Inc., the company I founded to build AI-native healthcare tools. Through BajaWell we serve US-based medical practices and healthcare startups as a serious engineering partner without agency overhead. Based in Tijuana on the Baja California border, we work in your timezone, know the regulatory environment inside out, and bring a cross-border perspective that's genuinely useful in the US–Mexico healthcare market.
Genko, Inc. also builds Genkō, a HIPAA-ready scheduling platform for multi-provider practices, and Genkō AgentOps, an MCP-native operations platform for AI-driven clinical workflows. Building these in production means the architecture, security, and compliance thinking behind BajaWell client work is proven, not theoretical.

Chief Meow Officer
Froda joined the BajaWell office on a permanent, non-negotiable basis. Her responsibilities include quality-testing every chair in the building, ensuring no keyboard goes unattended for more than 30 seconds, and providing unsolicited but deeply appreciated moral support during difficult debugging sessions.
She holds no formal certifications in HIPAA compliance but has never once violated a privacy policy. Her on-call hours are generous — she is available approximately 22 hours a day, though most of that time is reserved for strategic rest.
